Ink and Fin was inspired by a love of the ocean and New Zealand’s marine life, and a desire to bring subtle, refined prints into the home - artworks that celebrate the sea without being overly literal or “too fishing-focused.”

Bayley, a true Kiwi fisherman, knows each fish thoroughly, while Michaela, by his side and learning the ropes, is embracing life on the New Zealand coast. Together, the team transforms their shared passion for the ocean into delicate prints that capture the distinctive forms and quiet presence of New Zealand’s marine species.

Each piece is created in a refined sketch-style digital format, rendering the natural beauty of the fish in clean, minimalist lines. Once completed, the artworks are printed on Fine Art Photo Printing paper (Photo Rag 308gsm), preserving the detail of every species.
